8th Annual oSTEM Conference - Waivers and Policies

Cancellation Policy

By submitting your conference registration, you are agreeing to our cancellation policy. For cancellations on or before October 15, 2018, 50% of the registration will be refunded. For cancellations after October 15, 2018, no refund will be issued. You may swap your registration with a non-registered individual for no charge but you must handle any exchange of payment on your own. Any request to cancel or swap registration must be requested via email at conference-logistics@ostem.org.

Waiver of Consent

Many of our sponsors are interested in contacting you about the following opportunities: summer internships/co-ops, full-time positions, fellowships, Master’s and PhD programs, and other academic endeavors. By submitting your registration you are consenting to oSTEM Incorporated sharing your contact and/or educational information with select conference sponsors.

Code of Conduct

Our conference is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, ability, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, national origin, beliefs, religion, faith, documentation status or socioeconomic status. As such, we do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of the oSTEM Volunteer Staff immediately or send an email to BeAware@ostem.org. At the conference, oSTEM Volunteer Staff will have blue lanyards.

oSTEM Volunteer staff will be happy to help participants by contacting venue security or local law enforcement, providing escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference. We value you and your attendance.

Any conference participant violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the conference organizers.
