Would you like a chance to develop your leadership skills? Would you like to do so with a group of queer students from other oSTEM chapters? This is your chance! oSTEM's first national leadership program is designed for queer students in oSTEM.

What is it?

oSTEM's Leadership is a three-part program aimed at personal and leadership development. The program will be held over the summer/fall with an in-person retreat occurring February 2019. The time commitment required is 2 hours per week for a total of 15 weeks.

Part 1: Book Discussion | online

Part 2: Organizational Development Course  | online

Part 3: Weekend Retreat | in-person

The weekend retreat will be an all-expense paid retreat to practice skills that can be taken back to support your local chapter. This portion of the leadership development is only available to those who completed the first two parts of this leadership development program.

How do I join?

The leadership development is currently only accepting nominations from students in an oSTEM chapter.

--The applications for 2018 have been closed. --

If you missed this opportunity:

  • Feel free to reach out to us.
  • Attend some of our leadership programming at the oSTEM National Conference in November.
  • Make sure to check back next year!

If you have any questions or if you are a professional or sponsor looking to get involved, please email Jonathan Soulsby at jonathan.soulsby@ostem.org.

Notes:

*Students who are still in the process of forming a chapter are eligible to participate in the online portions. If they become an active chapter of oSTEM by November 2018, then they will be waitlisted for the weekend retreat.

*We will accept 2 nominations per oSTEM chapter.
